NYNMA and CeBIT America Sign Joint Marketing Agreement New York, NY - July 28, 2003 - The New York New Media Association (NYNMA), a division of the Software & Information Industry Association, today announced an agreement with international trade show organizer Hannover Fairs USA, producer of the new CeBIT America trade show, for NYNMA's Information Technology Showcase 2003. The agreement calls for CeBIT America to provide marketing and sales support for Information Technology Showcase 2003, a NYNMA-hosted trade show to be held October 30, 2003 in New York City. Information Technology Showcase 2003 aims to facilitate deals; provide networking opportunities, promote New York City's technology economy; and showcase innovation in financial services, media, life sciences and consumer technology products. It will reach one of the largest IT buying markets and business media centers by bringing together enterprise buyers and sellers for a focused one-day exposition and knowledge exchange. Last year, the event drew 2,000 investors and corporate buyers and more than 120 exhibiting companies. "Information Technology Showcase 2003 will be a stronger event as a result of this partnership," said Ken Wasch, president of SIIA. "CeBIT America, with its stellar brand name, will help attract top technology companies to our event in New York, home of one of the largest concentrations of technology buyers in the world." The deal also calls for NYNMA to market CeBIT America, owned by Hannover Fairs USA, to its members and the software and information industry in general. It will support Hannover Fairs USA's promotional endeavors by providing educational programming, speakers and alliance marketing efforts. Hannover Fairs USA annually brings several hundreds of technology companies to the CeBIT trade fair in Germany, the world's largest technology event. "NYNMA delivers access to the IT community in and around New York City," said Mark Dineen, vice president and managing director for CeBIT America. "This marks a major milestone for the CeBIT America event. SIIA and NYNMA will provide added credibility to our show by generating support in the New York City area, one of the most important technology centers in the industry."
